California Science & Engineering Fair The California Science & Engineering Fair is the final science fair of the academic year for students throughout the State of California in grades 6 - 12, serving California’s future scientists and engineers since 1952. The fair is hosted by the California Science and Engineering Foundation . Judging interviews for the 73 rd annual California Science and Engineering Fair were held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. That’s only -28 days away! It’s here!.This year there were 857 participants from 344 schools throughout the State who presented 704 projects in competition for awards totaling over $40,000. Latest News from the Fair : Fair Date CSEF 2024 judging will take place on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, and will be entirely online. Student Applications Students who have qualified to participate will be sent invitations individually to their personal email addresses registered with their affiliated fair.Awards Here are all Majors Fair Awards, Category Awards, and Sponsored Awards. Fair Store Open! The CSEF 2024 Store is now open! Memorialize your achievement in being a participant in the California Science & Engineering Fair with CSEF 2024 branded merchandise. The store will only be open until April 29, after which all orders will be shipped. Judge Registration Qualified scientists and engineers who wish to judge at CSEF 2025 should visit the Judges Page below. Awards Ceremony The Awards Ceremony is now available! Click here to check out your category, Sponsored Awards, and Major Fair Awards.See the CSEF 2021 Awards Ceremony which is a series of videos with all of the judging results. These results are also available on this site, just as all results in previous years will always be available in our History section .Student Application System Closed The Final Submission Deadline has now long passed. See the deadlines for all affiliated fairs. If you still need to submit additional required paperwork, email each document as a separate attachment to CSEF.SRC@gmail.com . Include your project number in the body of that email. Student Application System Open! We are now accepting applications from students who wish to participate in CSEF 2022. Applicants must have received an invitation from CSEF containing a link with a special key that will enable them to create a participant account. This email has been sent to all students named on our list of students eligible to submit applications . Make sure to submit your application on time. See the deadlines for all affiliated fairs. We are almost ready to begin accepting applications. When the application system opens,checklist of all required materials . Qualified Students All students who are presently eligible to submit an application are listed here. This list includes all students selected by our affiliates to date. Students must still submit an application in order to participate. Student Registration Qualification to CSEF is exclusively through our network of affiliated county and multi-county regional science fairs. CSEF will provide registration information directly to students after their affiliated fair certifies its qualifications. See here for the list of all currently qualified students. Project Displays All projects, including their Project Presentations , are available for public viewing at our zFairs 2023 site . Click on its menu item “Fair” and then “Showcase.” Interview Schedules The Framework for all interview schedules shows the time frame in which each interview will be conducted. Students and judges in small panels will receive their individual interview schedules within their account on our zFairs site . Those in large panels will follow the times shown in the Framework.Judge Registration Judge Registration for the 2023 Fair is now closed. All interviews are now being scheduled.
